Launches

We are out of business again. :(

Tom let me know on 9/10/2026 that he was notified by someone at BLM (not our Fire Control contact) that we should not have cleared the HP launch area as were were instructed to by the previous BLM/Fire Control personnel, and that as a result our permit has been put on probation for using unapproved equipment. At this point it's unclear what the path forward is, so we are canceling future launches and going to allow our permit to lapse for now.

Tom also said he was informed that they will be reseeding the area(s?) that we cleared, and that they have not yet decided if they are going to fine us.

Some have suggested having a meeting to discuss options (it's about that time anyway, and it's been a few years since we've had a meeting.) If we do decide to do so Tom will notify everyone, and I will update this page with the time, date, and location of the meeting.

We have had no meetings for some time. Hopefully that will change this year.
