Zia Spacemodelers hosted the following NAR sanctioned competitions in contest year 2009. These meets were held in conjunction with our regular monthly launches, from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm on the dates shown below.

These were local meets, open to all NAR members in the Los Alamos,  White Rock, Española, and Sante Fe area. The purpose of these meets was to get local fliers some competition experience, practice some NARAM 51 events, and to get Zia members some experience running meets. Note that both the NARAM 51 web site and the NAR web site have some competition plans and tips (including  plans for 1/8A HD on the NARAM site.) We are considering holding some regional meets in the upcoming (2009/2010) contest year (depending on how these meets go.)

All New Mexico sport fliers are welcome to come and fly with us as always during these launches, but to compete in the meet you must have been an NAR member. Come out as see what NAR competition flying is all about!
